Ogilby Road Dispersed Camping

The best place to park IMHO is 4.7 miles North of the interchange (about 0.7 miles past the railroad grade crossing) on the right (East) side of the road. There are MANY dispersed, level parking sites along several unpaved (but well-maintained) access roads. Coming from the North (e.g., Blythe, CA) the location is (still on CR S34) about 3.5 miles beyond (South) of an unpaved road that leads West to Gold Rock Ranch. This is a quiet place - although distant trains pass regularly - and we've always felt safe here; there are always other RV'ers parked nearby. Very good Verizon cell phone (and broadband) service due to proximity of I-8 and the Sand Hills Recreation area.
