Very spacious RV park with lots of grass. Very scenic, close to the Columbia River. Lots of room between sites. Sites are gravel and ours was perfectly level. Washrooms are clean. Definitely check out the Stonehenge replica memorial and Waving Tree Winery. The winery is a hidden gem with amazing wines! No wifi or cable but cell reception is good.
Update on my review. Our stay here was for 3 nights. On our last morning here we were rudely awoken at 6:00am by the parks irrigation system! It sprayed down both sides of our trailer and is was so loud! You can’t believe how loud that is when high pressure water is spraying down the side of an RV! We like to sleep with our bedroom window open as so many others do and it was spraying right into our window! Not impressed!

I liked this campground. Lovely RV hook-ups, right on the Columbia River. Heated, clean bathrooms and showers. Big spots for RVs , but tent sites are tiny and no tents on the grass. Lots to visit in the area, Stonehenge memorial and Maryhill Museum of Art. Close to Columbia River attractions. Site 35

Clean, grassy and spacious … but expensive for non-residents. Nice location beside Columbia River, Maryhill Museum and Stonehenge replica. But only 1 shower in restroom and it was out of order! And the noise of trains, freeway traffic and trucks using jake brakes on the nearby hill make it difficult to sleep. So, expensive and very noisy — not a great experience.

I really love this place right on the Columbia River, and the sounds of the trains, a little bit of Americana. Clean, close to Maryhill Winery 👏👏. However, the sounds of Jake brakes coming down the hill is annoying. Don’t know what the law is regarding this, and not all trucks use their Jake brakes, fortunately. Really, that’s my only complaint.

Nice green well maintained but really expensive for a state park.

Extremely nice staff. Beautiful green grass, nice river bank, roomy level sites. Enjoyed our stay.

One of the nicer Washington State Parks, as far as setting and overall functionality, but has a few rough edges. Usually extremely busy. There is only one restroom building for the entire campground loop, It has only one (1) shower stall in the Men’s section, and one (1) shower stall in the Women’s section. The restroom bldg is old, but usually (not always) fairly clean. Showers are $0.50 per 3 minutes (US Quarters only). The “3 minutes” seems to vary a little with each payment. The nearby (a few minutes walk) Day Use area has another fairly large restroom bldg but not with working showers. There is also a Group Campground loop nearby with a third restroom bldg, which is newer (and usually cleaner) than the others. The entire park has an abundance of large old shade trees and well-irrigated green mowed lawns. It’s a cool oasis in the summer. The Day Use area’s designated swimming area has a nice gravel beach and is safe for children. The concrete boat ramp is well designed, including both access and truck-trailer parking. Most sites are open, not particularly private as far as views, but they aren’t crowded together either. The sites on the inside of the loop have tree shade, many for all day. The pull-through sites on the outside of the loop are much less shady in general. The RV Dump ($5 dump fee for noncampers) is easily accessible and well designed. The waste inlet is in a concrete apron set below ground level so gravity dumping is easy. Rinse water is provided. Fresh (potable) water is available year-round at a separate clearly marked faucet about 25 feet ahead of the waste dump. A heavily traveled railroad line is near this campground, Very fast, very long trains pass by every couple of hours, 24/7. Thankfully there’s no nearby RR X-ing so no train whistles. The Columbia River Gorge is constantly windy so expect at least 15-20 mph wind steadily, with higher gusts, much of the time. Nearest reasonable grocery shopping is in Goldendale WA to the north.

Nice clean park. Stayed late September 2016. Grass was being watered very other day but wasn't a problem.
Good pull through sites with great privacy. Nice views of river and gorge.
Tried to stay at Des Chutes state park and it was full. Thus was a pleasant surprise and much better!

This campground was okay. A little expensive for a tent site ($30) when another tent site 30' away was $25?? Pretty windy, but it was warm and kept the heat down at night. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest and it cost $.50 for three minutes for the shower. The lake/river was just a short walk away. You have to drive across the bridge into Oregon for any services.

The electrical system has been revised to provide 50A service. The park has evidently fallen on hard times, maintenance wise. Weeds, bare dirt patches abound. Not the place it once was.
