Bartlett Flat Campground - Details
Tonto Nat Forest, 23 mi east of Carefree. Take Cave Creek Road 7 miles. Turn right on Bartlett Dam Road and continue for 12.5 miles. Then turn left on FR 459. Continue on FR 459 (a paved, low-speed road) for 3 miand an additional half-mile on an unpaved road to the site., Carefree AZ 85377,

Horseshoe Campground - Details
Tonto Nat Forest, 23 mi northeast of Carefree. From Carefree, take Cave Creek Road turn right on Bartlett Dam Road and continue for 6 mito the junction of FR 205 and FR 19. At this junction, FR 205 turns left and becomes an unmaintained unpaved road. Follow FR 205 for 10 mitowards Horseshoe Reservoir. At the junction of FR 205 and FR 205A, turn right and travel an additional .5 mile to the site., Carefree AZ 85377, 602-488-3441

Mesquite Campground - Details
Tonto Nat Forest, 22 mi northeast of Carefree. From Carefree, take Cave Creek Road to Bartlett Dam Road. Turn right and continue for 6 mito the junction of FR 205 and FR 19. Continue on FR 205 which turns left and becomes an un-maintained, unpaved road to Horseshoe Reservoir. Continue approximately 9 mimore on FR 205, following the route to Horseshoe Reservoir. Riverside Campground - Details
Tonto Nat Forest, 23 mi east of Carefree. Take Cave Creek Road for 7 mithen turn right on Bartlett Dam Road and continue for 13 miles. Just before reaching the Jojoba Boating site, FR 19 becomes a maintained gravel road that turns south (right). Follow it for another 3 mito Riverside., Carefree AZ 85377, 602-488-3441

SB Cove Campground - Details
Tonto Nat Forest, 24 mi east of Carefree. Take Cave Creek Road 7 mito the junction with FR (FR) 205. Turn right and travel 6 mito the junction of FR 205 and FR 19. At this junction take FR 19 for 7 mito FR 459 and turn left., Carefree AZ 85377, 602-488-3441

Sheep Bridge Campground - Details
Tonto Nat Forest, 45 mi north of Carefree. From Carefree, take Cave Creek Road/Forest Road (FR) 24 for approximately 33 mito the Bloody Basin-Tangle Creek area. At this junction of FR 24 and FR 269, turn right. Follow FR 269 for approximately 12 mito the Sheep Bridge at the Verde River. Both FR 24 and FR 269 are narrow, unpaved roads with blind curves. A portion of FR 24 is maintained, but FR 269 is rarely maintained. A high-clearance vehicle is required. When muddy or rainy, four-wheel drive is often required, Carefree AZ 85377, 602-488-3441
