I wanted to let anyone traveling through New Mexico know about a great romantic getaway that we locals love. Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort and Spa is absolutely fabulous for romantic weekend getaways or just a relaxing day trip for those of us living in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It is about an hour drive from Santa Fe. I have been going there for years and love to soak in the healing mineral hot springs. The rejuvenating powers of the springs have made it a sought after destination dating back to ancient times. In recent years, the resort has been getting an extensive make over and while still keeping the original charm of the historic hotel and cabins, they have added gorgeous new amenities including private baths. On my last trip there with my boyfriend, we enjoyed a private soak under the clear, crisp New Mexico night sky. Seriously romantic. Thanks for all the great info!
