Thank you for some insight about amish culture.
Recently I saw a sign on a auto saying

SAVE LIVES NOT TIME

my experience and observation has been this is a trans cultural universal truth

That would be an interesting opportunity to stay with them but I haven't heard of such a thing. I suspect you would have to have a really close connection with someone already. On the one hand, they could make money selling a visit but it would go against much of what they practice.

Hi,
Thanks for the useful tips. Should just be known, but seems like so much fo what should be known as good manners today is not known. Much to all of what you list is what we were taught as good manners from the earliest I can remember.

I enjoyed the picture of the farm with the dusting of snow very much!

Do you know if they allow people to stay with them and learn the life they live, even if it is just a week or two or possibly more? I think it would be a great experience to get to do something like this. Seems to me it would be the closest way to living in times when there were none of todays conveniences. I find their way of life fascinating from what little I do know by what I have read and watched.

Again, thanks for the psot. Have a great day!
