Take your whole family with you in your RV. This includes your dog. Do you know how your dog travels before embarking on a long trip? Some dogs are great travelers from the start and others are always nervous.

High altitude camping is tough and not for the weak or timid. The most important thing to remember is that it’s a lot different than camping in the woods with soft soil all around you. Last year, we took a family trip with my mother and her sisters to Central America. This was my first trip “home” to where my mother was raised, and I was a taken by the exotic nature of the area. Being a camp host is not just a free spot in a great campground. It’s much more than that. From ghost town to busy marketplace, Quartzsite is a must visit at least once or possibly every year. So what about all these terms…Boondocking, dry camping, overnight parking, independent parking and so on. The surges we create ourselves are more and more common. And we all carry more equipment with circuit boards that can be damaged by them. How can we promote green hotels, eco-hotels and other sound travel practices while promoting RVing? In reality, the majority of RVers out there lead a greener lifestyle than most normal citizens. This is something I think about quite often yet some may say it’s just a way to feel better about it. When you plug your RV power cord in at a hookup, the cord will most likely be touching the ground and exposed to all kinds of elements. When it’s time to move on, you pull the cord in and place it back in your electrical compartment along with everything it picked up with it.
