If you travel often and carry, you will eventually be stopped by a traffic officer. Possibly for a violation, a speeding incident or just being by another accident with which you are only a witness. All of these situations start the chain of events that could lead to a search and the officer finding that you are carrying.

There are many places where firearms are prohibited no matter what state you are in or what license you may have. So you are starting in a state with one set of firearm laws. You are abiding the law in that state. You are driving to another state with similar laws and you will be abiding those laws. But in order to get there, you have to drive through a state with very restrictive laws. You are breaking the law when you are in that state with your firearm. Those of us with a firearm in our RVs, trucks or whatever need to stop and consider this. |
