A good sign of the times is the news that AAA is listening to requests to add information about green hotels. I started listing green hotels in 2004 and now AAA will mention them in their 2010 print guides. They will list properties that are AAA approved and have been certified through either government or private programs.

It won’t be a thorough guide and they won’t check out the practices themselves but it is a good step forward for everyone. If anyone makes a choice to support a green hotel over a hotel hog, it’s a good thing. Right?
