T-Handle for RV Sewer Drain

The T-Handle on our sewer drain was stuck in an odd position. It opened and closed as it should but it hung too low. I didn’t know at first that it was rotated downward slightly more than it should be. So I first went looking at the parts in the store to figure out what was wrong. I looked at replacements to see if there were different versions or types out there. They were all the same. Nothing new or inventive in this particular items market.

In turns out that a outside faucet handle fits right where the RV T-Handle does. Replacement T-handles cost from $4-5, maybe more, at most RV supply stores. A good old faucet handle? About a dollar, give or take a few cents, at most home improvement stores. And I’ll take the metal over the plastic any day. Our solution for now was to just rotate the entire valve/handle assembly. But we now carry a round faucet handle in the toolkit.
