El Tover Hotel Ghost Story

Sitting just twenty feet from the south rim edge of the Grand Canyon is the El Tovar Hotel. This Fred Harvey Company classic hotel opened in 1905. You can visit the grave of a former Harvey Girl in the middle of the parking lot.

Reports have often been about a black caped figure walking along the pathway from the hotel, by the grave and then behind the Hopi House.

Fred Harvey himself has made appearances on the third floor during the annual Christmas event. This third floor and the kitchen are reported to be the most haunted sections of the hotel.
