OATMAN HOTEL
Oatman Hotel Ghost Story181 Main St., Oatman, AZ 86331 (928) 768-4408First called the Drulin Hotel upon being built in 1902, this historic hotel had only eight rooms but did a good business with area miners. Nearby was one of the richest gold finds in the USA. After the gold faded a bit, the hotel still catered to Route 66 travelers, as it does today. The main ghost is called "Oatie," who was an Irish miner found dead behind the hotel. He is seen in guestrooms or running down the stairs and out the door. The Oatman Hotel is also noteworthy as the location where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their wedding night and are said to come back once in a while to Room 15.
