The mission style inn opened in 1927. It continues today on a seasonal basis to provide vintage accommodations and a ghost. The ghost is thought to be Chef James Marquez. He was forced to leave due to illness after working at the hotel from 1959 to 1973 and passed away several years later. He continues to wander the kitchen and dining rooms, opening and closing doors, moving around equipment and making noises at night.
