Historic Cary House Hotel Ghost Story

Opened in 1857 and known as the Jewel of Placerville for being the finest hotel in gold country. And now it is also known as one of the areas most haunted sites. Ghosts include a former desk clerk named Stan, was stabbed to death when he made a pass as the wrong person and he is still pinching people's behinds today. The old elevator roams up and down the building on it's own. The spirit of an old horse and wagon operator still haunts where he died in room 212.
