Horton Grand Hotel Ghost Story

The Horton Grand Hotel is a restored combination of two separate hotels that opened in 1886 in the Gaslamp District. The hotel is haunted by a 19th century gambler who was cause cheating at cards, tracked down and shot in his room, number 309. His spirit remains in this room and the stairway nearby. He may shake your bed, turn lights on and off, open and close doors and make the sound of shuffling cards.
