Eldridge Hotel Ghost Story

Built as the Free State Hotel in 1855, it has burned down twice over the years. It was closed as a hotel and converted to apartments in 1970. In 1985, it was restored as a hotel and continues to host guests and ghosts. The fifth floor is said to have a portal into the spirit world, mostly in room 506. Guests have reported doors opening and closing on their own, breath marks on clean mirrors and lights switching on and off.

Cold spots are reported throughout the hotel. The elevator likes to open and close it's doors on the fifth floor with no one there. The elevator also has seemed to cause problems with peoples cameras when close by.
