Laguna Vista Lodge Ghost Story

Orginially the El Monte, this hotel was built with old railroad ties. An addition in 1964 created room for more guests.

One report had an employee hearing the vacuum cleaner running only to find it sitting silent and alone in the dining room. The piano sometimes plays by itself, with an empty chair in front of it. The chair may be moved away and later found back at the piano.

Another female ghost appears in dance hall clothes and then vanishes near the hidden staircase. She is reportedly a woman on her honeymoon who's husband left the hotel and never came back. The distraught girl was left to become a bar girl.
