THE CHAMBERLIN
The Chamberlin Ghost Story2 Fenwic Road, Fort Monroe, Hampton, VA (757) 723-6511Due to increased security at Fort Monroe since 9/11/2001, sadly, The Chamberlin is bankrupt and closed to non-military visitors. More than one spirit is said to walk the halls of this large establishment, but the most famous is the ghost of a young woman named Ezmerelda. Her father, a fisherman, went to sea one day and never returned....and she's still waiting for him to return. Her spirit has been haunting the 8th floor since the 1920s. She has been quite in recent years but you find yourself hearing the sound of footsteps or spotting an apparition or a coldness in a room. Maybe you'll even hear the playing of a piano. Check in and tell us at if you have a story. Let us know if we can post it on the site. If you do go, tell them you found them on AllStays!
