Historic Plains Hotel Ghost StoryBuilt in 1911, the Plains Hotel was a luxurious stop in the Magic City of the Plains, as Cheyenne called itself. One couple remain in the hotel permanently. A bride named Rosie was in the hotel with her new husband on their honeymoon. The husband went down to have a drink and met a prostitute. Rosie went down to find her husband only to actually find him leaving the lounge with another woman. Rosie followed them to the woman's fourth floor room and killed them both. Rosie returned to her room and turned the same gun, her husbands, on herself. All three spirits have been seen since. Staff have heard laughing and crying from their honeymoon room. The room was unoccupied. The groom is seen all over the hotel, dressed in his early 1900s clothes. Most frequently, he is seen on the fourth floor and the basement areas. The other woman has been seen most often on the second floor in a short red dress wtih lace. One Halloween story has the hotel with mannequins dressed in wedding clothes in the lobby. At the same time an employee spots the ghost of the other woman, the bride mannequin falls over. The employees looks at the mannequin and then back up to see the ghost had disappeared.
