Travel Tips
1 – Make hotel reservations early. Some hotels stop taking online reservations a couple days ahead of time.
Unlike other travel websites, we are willing to give you direct links to the hotel websites. We want you to book with our links right below each listing (so we don't have to fill this space with flashing buttons) but we want you to have the best rate and information. One of us will have the best rates & availability.
2 – After making a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Print this email to take with you. Keep it and the original email until after you are billed correctly.
3- The earlier you check-in, the more likely you will get the type of room you requested or better.
4 - Hotel rates can vary wildly by season. Depending on the time of year and seasonal events, you may find rates much different than our cost codes. We always offer any available discount rates for AAA and AARP, corporate and govt employees, and groups.

When To Go, How to Get Around....
The little details of Vancouver.
Getting Around: Visitors travelling by air can fly into Vancouver International Airport. Visitors departing the airport are required to purchase an Airport Improvement Fee ticket that must be presented at the security checkpoint. The fee ranges between $5.00 and $15.00 depending on your destination. Taxis are difficult to find in the downtown area. It is best to utilize public transportation. Other means of transportation are car rentals, ferries, trains and buses.
Time Zone Pacific Standard Time Zone
Weather: Vancouver has mild weather year-round. Spring arrives in February or March but you'll still need a warm jacket in the evenings. Summers are very comfortable and rarely scorching. The fall season is long with temperatures remaining mild till November when the wet season begins. Snow is a rarity except, of course, in the nearby mountains. Your best bet is to wear layers so you're always prepared for changes in weather.
