McKeithen

For Tunnel Mountain Village I - Banff National Park: $266 for a no hookup site for a week plus $117 just to be in the park Very restrictive generator hours made it difficult to keep food safe in residential refrigerator. Town of Banff is over run with throngs of people Wanted to have lunch at a downtown restaurant, but 1hour and 45 min wait

For Tunnel Mountain Village I - Banff National Park: If you love crowds, then Banff is for you. 509 sites at the crappy gravel parking lot were full, so since we were stuck here with truck problems, we went into the huge “tent” campground. Lovely view of the line of cars trying to get in. Banff sucks; no scenery is worth this hassle. Go somewhere else.

Flybynight

For Tunnel Mountain Village I - Banff National Park: This is a huge campground as you will note when you make your reservation. And by all means make sure you have a reservation. We are pulling a 42 foot fifth wheel, and had an interesting time parking in our spot. There was a storm right where we didn't need it. Several of the campsites I noted had to place large campers so that trees were in between their slide outs. Most of the people here are in smaller rigs or tents. Once we were set up it was great. The previous guests have left a lot of firewood under the picnic table so we never had to get any. The fire ring came with our site and wood is free. Generators can be run twice a day to charge batteries. From 9 to 1030 in the morning and 5 to 7 in the evening. Since we were only staying two nights we had no problem.

BurqueJessie

For Tunnel Mountain Village I - Banff National Park: HUGE campsite village. Campfire is cheap and you can get as much as you want. Wolves in the area so keep food protected. Campground has odd rules because there are so many people. For example, after a certain time, no alcohol and campfires need to be put out. Campsite has a international feel because campers are from all over the world.

Very little campsite privacy. Our neighbors fire ring was 20 feet from ours. Very professional staff, clean sites.
