For Riverbend Campground: This weekend was our second visit to this campground. In general it is very clean but some areas, such as the office and mini-golf course, are a getting a little run down. I was very happy with the grounds maintenance person, he does a thorough clean-up of each site after campers check out which leaves everyone with a clean spot a check in! We stayed in site L-18 and it was level with easily accessible hookups. We pull a 30' trailer and had no issues getting into and out of the site. The sites and roads around the campground are gravel, most sites seem to be well treed, unfortunately our site was not and as a result we didn't have much privacy. No issues with check-in, the staff were friendly. Our kids, ages 9 and 11, enjoyed the campground as well. There were several playgrounds, a mini-golf course, as well as paddle boats to tour around the on-site pond. The campground also backs onto the sheep river. The river is cold but my kids played in it and along the river bank for several hours. The river is fast moving so please use caution! Not everything was perfect, however. I found the prices for firewood and snacks at the concession to be quite high. Firewood was $12/bundle and we used at least 1.5 each night for a decent camp fire. A decent spot if you're traveling through or looking for a weekend getaway from Calgary or Okotoks.

For Riverbend Campground: Very unorganized campground, horrible customer service. I booked a “full hookup-back in” spot online, they gave me a pull in, water/sewer. Besides the obvious price difference that they did not refund they told me they were too busy to accommodate any changes and that they were fully booked and didn’t care to move me. If I would have pulled into the spot my truck would have been blocked in so instead I had to cut 5 feet off the width of my site and run the water and sewer lines across our site and under the trailer. I decided to not push it further as I didn’t want to ruin my weekend but I will definitely NEVER return.

Peg

For Riverbend Campground: Nice quiet RV park a little on the older side but still maintained so that most RVs can settle in. Not really suitable for larger rigs fifth wheels and class A's, got some damage to our roof from low branches on the trees.

For Riverbend Campground: Natural setting. Gravel lanes- could use a grader. Paved entry road has several broken/gravel spots-permanent residents must get tired of driving on that!
Quiet setting.
Stayed in a motorhome.
