For Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park: We stopped here overnight on our way to a longer destination. It was a nice pull through, full hookup site that required very lit to level our camper. The kids loved the playground and train. The bath house had plenty of showers and was very clean. I liked that the kids got a good history lesson about the iron works! Would stay here again if in the area.

For Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park: Lots going on the weekend we were there but still plenty of camping spaces available. The Visitor Center has a very good museum covering the history of the area. Sites in the full hook-up section were closer together than those in the electric/water section. Large, older bathhouse with 3/4 doors on showers - but well maintained.

For Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park: The link on this site (Editor note: The review search that accesses several other websites at once) has some negative reviews but they are posted on the wrong site. About 2 miles away is a former KOA that is behind a new Love's truck stop. THAT IS NOT TANNEHILL HISTORICAL STATE PARK!!

This park is old and full of history, walking trails, peace and quiet. I am here right now, on wifi, making my post. In a pullthru site with lots of shade. Hot and humid today in late June but the shade of the trees and my awning keeps it pleasant. This place is only a few miles from my home which makes it a fantastic weekend getaway. And when here we feel likes we're miles and miles away from the stresses and pressures just a short distance away.

Right down the road a piece is great shopping at Tannehill Colonial Promenade. The third weekend of each month March-October is a huge flea market they call Trade Days. I love this place and it irritates me to no end that people are posting rankings for that horrid place about 4 miles up the road. That one is North of Interstate 59/20. The one you need to come to is South of the interstate.
