For Waveland Park: I just spent 6 nights at Waveland Park CG. Pros: The sites were large in most areas with views of the lake. It was pretty quiet the whole 6 nights I was there. The showers looked ok, but I didn’t use them. They are the kind you have to push the button every few mins to get the water flowing. I had decent cell coverage through Verizon. Cons: Some of the sites are very unlevel. I was in site 34 & it took two 10 leveling block pyramids to get almost level. Some sites had water hook ups & I filled up before leaving (34 has electric only). That was a big mistake. I had to throw out the jugs I filled & can’t wait to empty/sanitize my fresh water tank. Even filtered it tastes like pond water. I had just cleaned my water bottle, but thought there must have been algae/mold growing in there somewhere. But, I checked the bottle & cap thoroughly & also checked the water I had filtered from the pitcher & it was just as foul. I’m hoping I can get the filter cleaned out so I can get back to fresh water again. I had to run to the store & buy bottled water just to be able to drink something.

For Waveland Park: Arrived after dark & the sites were hard to see/find. The numbers are painted on the concrete picnic tables.
Stayed for 12 nights at a beautiful site near the ampitheater & newer restrooms.
Showers were cleaned daily & had good temp & water pressure.
The biggest drawback to this campground was the persistent ant problem. They got into everything. Bring some stuff to circle your rig/jacks/tires etc.
Also, it's a dry county, so the nearest convenience store was about 30 minutes away, so bring your own.
