Much better than we have stayed at since in California concrete pads, clean gravel around site great pull thru. I do recommend this park. Such a great welcome from Leigha

For Shady Haven RV Park: This is a very good place to stop for a night or two or a week. The sites are spacious, all pull through, cement and level with quality posts for easy hook up. Each spot includes a picnic table and a tree. The park has a nice pool for hot days, laundry and bath house. There is a lovely grassy dog park. Monthly renters are next door and share the pool etc, but are in a different section than travelers. It was recently sold and the new owners are friendly, engaging and helpful. Additionally, the new owners are working on improvements and it will be fun to see what they have accomplished in the months ahead when I’m in the area. Down side... there is a train track beside the park and there is lots of train traffic - it is Bakersfield. It was sometimes noisy, but not that bad.

For Shady Haven RV Park: Clean, friendly, level large concrete pad with 3/4" drain rock around, paved driveways, good WiFi if your device isn't blocked by other RV's in the signal path. I used my exterior wifi antenna and speed was fine for YouTube videos without rebuffering pauses. The negatives are that it is nearly adjacent to the railroad tracks so you hear the loud rumble of freight trains and their horns day and night, and it is adjacent to a busy elevated road. Nevertheless it was fine for one night enroute and I'd stay again. Rate was $25 with Good Sam or Passport America discount.

For Shady Haven RV Park: Highway and streetlights on one side, freight trains along another. Not a peaceful place.

For Shady Haven RV Park: Stayed in overnight part of park. Good facilities Passport America so paid $15. Manager wasn't around but did call back and someone let us in. Would stay again
