For Leo Carrillo State Park: We stayed there overnight in early March 2024. The site we ended up at was fine, sites are separated by enough grassy area, and they are flat. We had selected a site online and when we arrived they checked us in, but at the site we found that the nearby bathroom was out of service due to heavy rains down the creek in the previous weeks. The dump station was out for this reason also. So we asked to change to another site by a working bathroom, and that was fine - there were plenty of empty sites this time of year. They have a little beach store open in the summer, but not while we were there. We would stay again because of the location, but it is expensive (like many CA state parks).

For Leo Carrillo State Park: $45 for a tent site! And the facilities were run down and dirty. Showers are token operated, 50cents per token, 1 token = 2 minutes for a shower that's not even nearly lukewarm. $7 firewood. Phenomenally expensive for what you get.
