For Forks Campground: We stayed here for three nights. It is a very small National Forest campground and the roads within this campground are very narrow. In fact they are so narrow, they are one way. The trees are not trimmed so you will more than likely have tree branches rubbing against your RV. The tree branches are not trimmed for height or width, and look like they have not been maintained in quite a while. From this narrow campground road you are going to have to back into the parking pads/parking spurs which are very narrow as well. I am not sure how old this campground is, but it seems like it was built for tent camping with Model Ts and Model As, so parking will be an adventure in most spots. I would not recommend this campground for Class C rigs, 5th wheels, and definitely not Class A motorhomes. Short towable trailers would be doable. This campground is really made for tent camping in my opinion. There are flush toilets and a water spigot situated next to the last bathroom. The positives of this campground are that it is only a 5 minute walk to The Forks Diner which has been here for decades. They have good food and is reasonably priced. The Mountain breakfast has 2 pancakes the size of the plates, 3 jumbo link sausages, a lot of hash browns and 3 eggs. We shared and it was plenty of food for two people. The lake is nice. You can swim in it but the shore and bottom is basically smooth river rock, so bring sandals or water socks of some sort. They also rent pontoon party boats (with a propane bbq on the back), but unfortunately they don’t rent aluminum fishing boats. These party boats are for several people going out for fun with canvas covers, etc. If you’re going to ride your bike or e-bike, just beware that the road lanes next to the campground that go around the lake are narrow with no shoulders and many blind spots, so you’ll be sharing the road with automobiles. Overall, I wouldn’t come back unless I was tent camping.
