For San Luis State Wildlife Area: We stayed here two years ago, beautiful views of mountains and sunsets but beware there are lots of bugs, we went to visit the campground may 2018, it is now a wild life preserve and no longer a state campground. I think it’s free now?? Check because I’m not 100% sure. Some sites still have electrical but no water. Close to sand dunes and hiking and RV Hot springs and pool.

For San Luis State Wildlife Area: There is no water in the campground. We were only staying one night so the host didn't charge us. Not sure if it is free for a longer stay. The host said that the State cant afford the water treatment that the EPA requires so they turned off the water.
