For Gulf Coast RV Resort: We left a day early as the park has fallen into such disarray. We have stayed here previously and had a great time...recommended to others. Now it's a run down mess! The pool was closed (it was 100 degrees and would have been nice) and we were not told in advance. There were fire ants everywhere esp by the utility hookups. The grass around the pads hasn't been trimmed in awhile and yet there is a gentleman driving around endlessly on a zero turn mower. The bath house was a moldy rusted mess. The wifi was very spotty. AND YET THEY CHARGED US FULL PRICE FOR A TRAVEL TRAILER SITE with no fire pit, no table, and a rather hard cracked concrete pad...I was informed that the park was to be auctioned off in August only AFTER we were checked in. Pretty sneaky as the small print allows for no refunds after check in!!!!! We love the crystal river area but this park is just unacceptable for holiday travel. The rating of 4.7 is totally shameful as it is obviously from a time when the park was well cared for. We will not be back!!!!

For Gulf Coast RV Resort: We really appreciate this place! Many nice, level, roomy spots. A nice heated pool. Two nice laundry rooms. Well kept. Lots of roads to bike or walk with very little traffic. Close enough to the manatees in Crystal River and Homosassa. Decent wi-fi. Not far from stores. Right down the street from a post office.

Kim

For Gulf Coast RV Resort: Very clean, quiet, great amenities. WiFi is very outdated and mostly non-existent during our 5 week stay. Matt, the owner, and the maintenance team are great, they take very good care of the campground and we’re helpful in getting us into a new, shadier spot that opened. You can have packages delivered to the office is needed. Not all sites have picnic tables but they do go around and do site checks often and will get you one with the tractor when it come available. Pool is clean and warm. Came here with 2 young children and there was plenty space for bike and scooter rides and grassy play areas. Playground is a little old but it’s shaded. 2 laundry rooms are clean and have plenty of great working machines. Lots of noseeums around here for insect repellant is a must. Bugsoother has worked very well. Close to Crystal River with plenty of kayak outfitters, restaurants, and shops. Just a few minutes to the north for gas and groceries at the Food Ranch, Dollar General. Grocery store also has self service water refill station outside the store (water is pretty sulfur-y). Was able to get vaccinations at the Inglis pharmacy. Must have dinner at Blackwater in Yankeetown! 50 to Cedar Key, adorable town, great for kids.

For Gulf Coast RV Resort: Clean, quiet, shady, roomy park. We had just 2 nights here but will be back. Easy to visit Cedar Key or Crystal River. Nice pool and the best laundry ever. And great rate!

For Gulf Coast RV Resort: Spent a month here and had a wonderful time enjoying meeting fellow campers, socially distanced, and the area. Campground is clean and well maintained daily. Two bath houses and laundry cleaned regularly. Great place to spend the winter and enjoy local dining and visiting the manatees. We will be back

For Gulf Coast RV Resort: We spent two weeks in a Motorhome using W/S/E-50 Amp. Entrance is directly off Suncoast Blvd (HWY 19/98). Go very slow when coming through the gate because there are two drainage gutters that will send you rocking-and-a-rolling if you hit them too fast. We came in after office hours on Saturday evening and the office was closed on Sunday, but Matt had told us to check the available site listing, pick one, then send him an email, and we could complete the check-in process on Monday. We had a good selection of available sites and picked one to our satisfaction. The sites are wide, grassy and level with a concrete patio and large picnic table. Hook-ups are easy to access. We were able to use both our Passport America discount for the first six days, then our military discount for the balance of our stay. We felt the prices were reasonable. We had a clear shot for Dish Satellite and cable is provided with many channels. Wi-Fi is also available, and very good. The laundry room is clean and air conditioned; washers and dryers don’t use quarters, instead we used our VISA with each use of a machine costing $2.00. The Gulf Coast is only 5 miles west and there are a lot of water sport activities in the area. We visited Cedar Key, Crystal River and Homosassa Springs State Parks. Overall, we would highly recommend this park.

Cheryl

For Gulf Coast RV Resort: We are fulltimers and wanted to explore this area of Florida. The park has grassy sites but they actually have grass with good drainage. Our site also had a large picnic gable and a concert pad. The pool is crystal clear, the restrooms are very clean and the laundry is clean with what looked like new machines. The washer and dryer only take credit cards. No cash. The vending machine in the laundry room was empty as well as the dog poop bag dispensers. The park had several trees but not full coverage. They had what looked like several seasonal campers and I guess now is not the season. The water was white not clear but no odor and we used it without any issues. Cable was Direct TV so lots of channels. We got good cell phone reception. They have an enclosed dog park. I received a welcome and a thank you text. I would stay at this park again. Best food we had was at the Seafood Seller & Cafe. A bit pricey but the food and service were amazing. I hear it gets real busy after 5 pm. The Thai Phoon restaurant next door was also very good. Both are in a strip mall on Highway 98. The Crab Plant was also recommended but it was closed the week we were in town. Bring your boat there are lots of places for boating and fishing. The Manatee are in the area in the winter. Bring food the closest grocery store is called Food Ranch and is adequate. Publix and Winn Dixie are at least 15 miles away. I hope this helps with planning your stay.
