For Wickham Park: We were looking for a place to stay on the area while visiting family in Melbourne’s late May/early June. This is our 4th stay in this CG. We made reservations since we wanted the same site for 3 weeks. On most nights (not Memorial Day weekend), there were open sites available. See our 10/25/16 review for details.

For Wickham Park: Well run, easy access to everything you need. Site size and quality very greatly though. Stay away from sites 49,50,51. Packed us in like sardines! 24-27 are nice.

For Wickham Park: Don't be intimidated by previous problems reported about unruly campers at this park. The mgmt has been addressing the problem and have eliminated the troublemakers. They require ID of all campers and they park is ppoliced and well maintained. Keep it up

Sue

For Wickham Park: A very large park with a campground towards the rear. Easy access to I95. Lots of small lakes for fishing, nature trails and open areas for exploring or picnics. Sites are not paved but fairly flat so some leveling may be required. There is no cable tv, most people had dishes out. You can't beat the price, it's super affordable. No WiFi (That I knew,of) but had plenty of bars on our phone. If you are tired of cooking there is a Chinese food place (China Palace?) very close and they even deliver, food was awesome. Frisbee golf. People were of very good caliber and friendly. Very dog friendly and everyone picked up after their dogs.

For Wickham Park: Wickham park is a a nice, quiet little park in the middle of Melbourne. This park is popular with the locals as a safe place to walk/run, play with the kids at the playground, hang out at the dog park, or get into a frisbee golf showdown. The campground is located at the back of the park and is fairly quiet with very large, mostly flat, sandy/grassy sites. All sites have full hookups and most have picnic tables, only a handful have any sort of shade. There are restrooms, showers (which may or may not have water pressure or hot water at any given moment) and a laundry facility (with mostly working machines) on site.
Everything is in place for this to be a great campground. HOWEVER, your overall experience may differ wildly from day to day depending on the other guests in the campground. We have been here for 3 weeks now and we have had very quiet serene days and we have had days where people are outside screaming at each other at all hours. We have had days with no drama, and days where the local police have showed up more than once in a day/night. I have met good people here and I have met some really bad people here. The rangers do patrol the park and all in all I have never felt completely unsafe. Just be watchful if you decide to stay - especially of your laundry and any other belongings you can't lock up.

Rose

For Wickham Park: My parents stay here often when visiting the area, and it is the only place local they will stay because they love it so much. The park has lots to offer: fishing, trails, playground, dog park, pavilions, farmers market on weekends, movies outside in the park once a month, festivals, and more. The amenities are always clean when we visit, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Property is well maintained and they haven't had issues with fleas/ticks on their dog. We love visiting and walking the property, as many people come here just for walking/exercising around the lakes. If you come to Melbourne, this is worth a visit!

For Wickham Park: We were looking for a park convenient to family we were visiting in Melbourne. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on weeknights in October.

This is a very nice park. The sites are relatively large and arrayed in a large field with some trees for shade at least part of the day. Most have full hookups, there's a section with primitive sites. The sites are level and mostly grass/sand. The free wifi was usable for email and internet, not for streaming. There was good ATT and Verizon cell coverage.

The park is convenient to shopping, restaurants. It's 8 miles to Indian Harbor Beach.
