For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Nice small campground, park and lake. Sites are oriented perpendicular to the road, which is narrow, so backing in is not as easy as when sites are angled acutely to the road. There are several spacious sites, and most are gravel, but a few are, unfortunately, dirty (muddy) sand. Lots of trees (beautiful live oaks) & shrubbery between sites provides some privacy. The bathhouse is well maintained and clean with new washers & driers.

For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Beautiful park! Large campsites w/picnic table, fire pit, and room for extra vehicles. Facilities are clean and well kept. Views of the bay are awesome and the trails are short but sweet for walking. Great job, FL SP! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Amazing and welcoming place to stay! Campground is beautifully kept up, bathrooms are clean and stocked, sites big and level, the views and trails are breath taking. Campground hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We are a family of two adults, two young children, two dogs, and a cat. There was much to keep us busy and happy, and we felt overall very comfortable and relaxed. We also felt very safe! Many junior ranger and geocaching activities for the little ones and lots of space for our fur babies to stretch their legs. We had the most magical time here bonding and exploring, we will for sure be back!

For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Couldn’t book the coveted Henderson Beach state park so had to stay here. Very clean bathrooms and spacious level lots. Only a short 10 drive to Henderson but you have to pay $4 each was toll extra expense but if you stay here you don’t have to pay again for the state park entry fee at Henderson. Kayak rentals and fishing. Would recommend but keep in mind the extra toll expense if you plan on going into Destin a lot.

For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Narrow roads but lots of trees and shade, Good stay if you like being outdoors a lot.

For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Some sites have nice washed gravel, some no gravel at all, just messy sand. Nice bathhouse, nice staff. Nice trails but constant traffic noise from busy route 20 detracts from the enjoyment. Nice playground for kids. Boat ramp with trailer parking. Warning sign to stay out of water due to elevated bacteria level. I probably won't return.

For Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park: Large campsites near lake with views of lake. Nice people in office. Not a large campground so call ahead.
