For Silver Springs State Park: My nickname for this campground is Disney Does Camping. The sites are so clean, you have to look hard for sticks even between the sites, the sites are literally raked thus so flat, and absolutely no trash anywhere. I completely agree with Tracy who added review just prior to me. Additionally, I learned you can kayak downstream 5 miles and then be brought back to the park. If you have your own kayak this is only $15. What a deal. My phone coverage in the van at site 12 is Verizon 5G 2 bars.

For Silver Springs State Park: Very clean and quiet park. It has great trails for bikes and wonderful kayaking! Bathrooms are well maintained and even has heat lamps in the shower. We’ll definitely be back!

For Silver Springs State Park: Large, level, pea gravel sites in a spacious, forested setting arranged to allow some privacy. Most sites are E/W only. Bathhouses are relatively new, well maintained and clean. The park has several nice hiking trails. It’s a bit odd that you have to drive to the springs, but it’s a short drive, and well worth it (pretty crowded though, even in early Feb on a weekday). We rented a kayak and saw alligators, turtles, manatees, Anhingas, wood ducks, loads of fish…very nice, and learned that Sea Hunt was filmed at the springs (dating myself here, as this was one of my favorite shows as a yute). The museum at the campgrounds is primarily for kiddies, and has a few Pleistocene era fossils and displays of ancient & modern dugout canoes, etc.

Steve sunderland

For Silver Springs State Park: Sites were very large and lots of room between sites. The site was level and campground very clean and well maintained. There were a few sites in both loops that had full hook ups but we choose the water / electric only. We will stay there again for sure.
