For Stephen Foster Folk Culture Ctr State Park: You literally have a window of 3 PM to five to get in the gates. Otherwise you are locked out and they don’t answer the phone even though the park is open til 7.. Paid for two nights of reservations. Not a great experience with Florida parks this far but this one is the worst. I drove 6 hours, lost an hour in time zones and was chasing daylight. Had to sleep in a sketchy lot with my dogs. No hosts, no call, no gate code.

For Stephen Foster Folk Culture Ctr State Park: We were looking forward to staying here. The plan was to do a little laundry and hike. We arrived on a Tuesday. Our site was large with a picnic table and a fire ring. The picnic table looks as would break if you tried to use it. It looks as if it is partially rotting. Otherwise the site is large, level and nice. We have 30 amp service. The hike wasn’t even pretty. The Gazebo is rundown. I’m so glad we could only get one night here. We have not seen a host or anyone who works here. Try there was a tag on a board at the gate with our name on it. The bathhouse is clean. We were not able to do laundry, Two rusty washers one was out of order and one dryer that looked rusty also. We have 2 bars of AT&T A pamphlet said they sell firewood at the store. We didn’t go to the store. We paid $37.00 had 30 amp Electricity. They need to revive this park.

For Stephen Foster Folk Culture Ctr State Park: Nice quiet spot. The pandemic has kept much of the park closed. The rest rooms were very clean. Lots of huge live oaks and Spanish moss. Nice secluded campsite.

HJD

For Stephen Foster Folk Culture Ctr State Park: Just spent 3 days here. Site was super level and volunteers keep the place really clean. Due to the pandemic, the place is kind of a ghost town. Under normal times, I think the place would really be nice. The store, museum and restaurant were all closed. Maybe someday we can see them. The campground is very nice. Very good dump station.
