For Southern Gates RV Park and Campground: Great spot for an overnight stay while traveling. Right off the freeway. The owners are nice friendly people. Bathrooms are clean. Inexpensive rates.

For Southern Gates RV Park and Campground: New owner, Karlis is working very hard to try and get this place into shape. Things are looking good, but a new campground definitely a work in progress. Very nice young man w/ a ton of energy. Couple permanents, a couple tents, but everyone very nice, hardly saw them. Mostly saw him and his work crews hitting it hard to get things looking good. Not a large campground, but clean, site was good, shaded a bit, convienent hookups, decent pool where we spent most of our time. Like anywhere, there are bugs indigenous to area, but you have them everywhere, it's camping. He is trying to keep control of that as well. Pet friendly, bath house, propane, stores one exit either way, as well as a local convienence store/gas at end of road. New pavilion, great for small camping groups, family reunions, etc. Camp Club Discount Friendly! This young man is gonna make a great campground when he gets done putting in the continued Blood, Sweat & Tears! Keep working hard like you have been Karliss, and you will reap what you sow! Thanks again, and we will be back!

For Southern Gates RV Park and Campground: This park is under new management and the new owners have done a lot to upgrade this park. We stayed here 2 years ago and then there was no pride of ownership. Ignore the prior reviews regarding this park and give it a try. Gravel has been laid at the campsites and on the road, electricity service has been upgraded, there's a fishing pond and they are in the process of getting the pool approved. I will definitely stay here again!

For Southern Gates RV Park and Campground: Found this park after dark after a long drive from south Florida , It was great for me very quiet and clean, rest rooms were older but well kept. The owners were very friendly and helpful in getting me parked. The park had a Route 66 type of atmosphere about it , This park was a great reprieve from the hi way for me! I would stay there again. Kentucky Santa.

For Southern Gates RV Park and Campground: Terrible park. I have no idea how it garnered 4 stars. Sites were dirt, grass needed to be mowed, cable was disconnected, the ants were terrible. We spent one night here and both the motor home and the jeep were infested with ants. The pool is only open from noon to 8 pm. That's a bummer since the sun didn't go down until 9 pm. Voltage on our 30 amp connection was 104V. Thank goodness I have a booster or I'd have probably shortened the life of my AC a good amount. We were asked not to use the wifi for streaming videos or large files because after the download limit is met, it would shut off. Road to the park is steep and has large ruts and a crushed steel drain pipe. Avoid this park. We will never camp here again.
