For Sunrise County Park: We stayed at this campground to check out Storm Lake. We were not impressed with the campgrounds themselves. We stayed in the loop portion and felt like sardines crammed into a can. The side with cable was a much better set-up with much more space. The gravel pads were lacking gravel and had plenty of plant growth growing through. There was little grass in our site with much mud and cigarette buts and trash and had very little yard. There was a nice concrete pad with a picnic table. The power outlets were about 20 feet from our camper, as was the water. Some of our neighbors needed an electrical extension cable to make his connection. Be prepared to have the sewer on one side and electric and water on the other side. We were not impressed with the campgrounds. The bathrooms were immaculate. The playground was broken and the swings were too high for our kids to swing. Storm Lake was ok but not that great. King’s Point looked amazing. The beach next to it was full of goose poop. Edson Park has a great beach though and we spent most of the day there. And the mini golf was a fun course. Our goal was to visit the Grotto in West Bend, next time we will just stay in West Bend. We will probably not visit again.

For Sunrise County Park: This is an immaculate city park located right on the eastern shore of Storm Lake. Sites are very spacious, with level gravel parking area, concrete pad with picnic table, fire ring, and plenty of lush, well maintained grassy area between sites. Amenities include playground, laundry room, private toilet/shower rooms, fire wood and ice also available. There a several attractions within walking distance to the park. The include golf, disc golf, paved bike path, a sandy beach, Kings Point Waterpark & Resort, several city day use parks, and boat launch access to the lake. The camp hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Rates were $23 per night for full hook-ups, an incredible value for stunning sunset views pit over the lake. We will definitely stay at this park again.
