For Mounds State Park: Stay here in April on drive from Florida. Great big park. Only 4 other campers at that time. Gravel sites, bath was good lots of trails to walk. Train near by but we didn’t mind. Just overnight but would like to stay longer next time

For Mounds State Park: This was our first visit to the state park campground and we found it to be very nice. The lots were big and were paved and in varying lengths. Most lots that we saw were pretty level. Around the perimeter of the campground we’re many trees. In the middle they were not quite as many. The perimeter sides would be considered full shade. The campground was fairly quiet, although there was an airport nearby. We only heard two or three private planes takeoff or land during the weekend. Another review were mentioned the train tracks, but we did not hear a train at all. The sides and we have electricity and we filled up her water tank at the entrance to the campground. We did take an hour long walk with the Ranger who discussed the mounds at the park. She did a very good job. There is also a swimming pool, but we did not use it, nor did we use the bath houses. The campground was clean and we will definitely go back.

For Mounds State Park: We were here in February so not all the facilities were open for us. There were field toilets and they were clean and didn't smell. The area is very serene with mature trees in most areas. Good sized lots. Nice, smaller campground.

For Mounds State Park: The bath house is better than most state parks. The shower stalls are sized right and the timer on the water is reasonably long. Also, they were clean...

The pads are paved, so you'll be sitting on asphalt. The tree cover is minimal, unless you get a spot along the treeline. These full up fast.

The airport was extremely busy. Music to my ears, but others felt different. There is also a train track nearby which seems not to have any noise abatement. The midnight trains blew their horns long and proud.

Not a bad park, but lack of trees and noisy trains severely hurt my review.

Next time, I try treeline and hope its better.

Cell coverage for AT&T was full strength. Don't be fooled by the 1 bar edge coverage by the camp store. Once in the camping area you have full signal.
