For Louisville North Campground: Was not as bad as I expected based on earlier views. Yes, you have very small spaces but since we were in a motor home it didn't matter. We loved the park across the street and we were able to let the dog off leash and let her run off so energy. The owners/desk folks were super nice. The location was very convenient to Churchill Downs and not too far from the casino. We stayed three nights. Cable tv was excellent. Yes the neighborhood is a little run down and there are some permanent campers. We didn't use the baths or laundry. The camp store is adequately stocked. I would stay again if in the area.

Nadene

For Louisville North Campground: We have never stayed in an RV park that was this bad. The spaces were so close together that you could reach out and touch your neighbor. There was no grass except for one little tiny spot that happened to be on the KOA website showing the campground. There were RVs parked there that look like they had been there forever with some very unsavory looking people staying in them. Power went out 3 times in the afternoon we arrived. We have two dogs so we didn't dare leave to do some sightseeing in case the power went out while we were gone. We would never recommend this campground to anyone we know. We planned on a three-night stay but we left on the 1st morning. We would have left the day we arrived if we could have found something that would accommodate our rig.

Paula

For Louisville North Campground: Easy access to I65. Conveniently located near Falls of the Ohio State Park, the Ohio River Greenway, and many great restaurants along River Road. Only 1.5 miles across the river to downtown Louisville. The sites are very small, but we had no problem with our class a and tow vehicle. The office personnel were very helpful, escorting and guiding us into our spot. This is an urban campground, certainly not the same experience as a spacious country park, but it is great for visiting this urban area. We will definitely stay here again if we are visiting the area.

Jim

For Louisville North Campground: Location is the only reason to stay here. Short taxi or drive to downtown, Slugger museum or slugger field. There are train tracks above the campground, but I never heard them after dark. Cable was of good quality. Can't say about Internet. They insist on boards if you use levelers or stabilizers. Bathrooms were a 5 out of 10. Again....location, location, location.......

Brenda

For Louisville North Campground: If you like planes, trains and automobiles this is the site for you. Airplanes overhead, near interstate and railroad tracks. Lots are very narrow - don't plan on extending your awning. No fire rings - again probably due to close proximity to your neighbors. Try to never day never but in this case - never again, will keep on driving.
