For Beach Bend Family Campground: These reviews do not reflect the state of this park. Beech (like the tree) Bend is a huge property largely made up of a 200yo amusement/water park and raceway. The area is well kept and park like with large trees along the river and scenic fenced in grassland spaces. The RV park has 500 paved, well-lit full sized pull through and feels like a Thousand Trails RV park - old but quite functional and professionally maintained. I guess it was the site of the original Camping World and boasted 1000 spots at one point. The large bathhouse was clean and functional if not pretty concrete and aluminum with numerous toilets and showers with modern heads. The park mostly serves long term amusement park workers or GM plant people but all the rigs seemed mobile and modern and the sites kept clean. ATT/Verizon connection was solid. There were a pack of kids running around and the area felt very safe to me. This would be a 4 star review but the race track is quite noisy during the day. Not my cup of tea but the GM-Porsche assembles and test drives its sports cars here so the racetrack would be a bonus for car people. The owner past away in Feb 2023 so the quality may rise or fall based on whomever takes over. Its a pretty neat place with a lot of history.

Mills Family

For Beach Bend Family Campground: Came in late from Missouri. The lady at the gate took our info and payment and then told us about a large car show going on in the area. The spaces were first come first serve so no reservations. She told us to park wherever we could find a space. We went down and rode around for a while and found no spaces. We called the office and she told us to just park in the field or grassy areas with no hookups. We paid for hookups. Was told at this point, pricing for either was the same. We finally found a spot and pulled in and set up with elec and water..no sewer. A little later a man came and asked us to move. Said they were saving that spot. We told him that we were told no saved spots. He pulled a gun on us and told us to move. We moved. We will not return to this campground.

For Beach Bend Family Campground: Camp was empty. I came in late and planned to stay 2 or 3 days. However early the next morning a man came to my lot with and spent lots of time using a loud weed wacker on my lot and lots close to me. About 100 other EMPTY LOTS he could have worked on but he chose mine to do early. Also lots sit just a few feet above river. A hard rain would flood campsites.
