For KOA Kentucky Lakes Prizer Point: 904 Lagoon. Lagoon shower house was locked. Poor communication. I wasn't told that my shower house was not available. In a Class B RV with 10' black tank hose. Drain is 20' away. The main shower house was 3/4 mile away. Check-in was at the Marina. She had plenty of opportunity to tell me about the inferiority of the site. Didn't say a word. I'll stay. at the state park next time. At least they have. logically. located shower houses and 1/4 the cost.

For KOA Kentucky Lakes Prizer Point: Stayed Labor Day weekend got one of most terrible spot I’ve ever had. Do not make reservations online you will not be able to chose your spot. You have to call directly to reserve a specific spot. We will not be coming back.

For KOA Kentucky Lakes Prizer Point: We stayed at KOA Prizer Point the last week of March. This KOA was different than any other I’ve stayed at. There were tons of “permanent “ campers. Most all were in good condition but very close together. Many had permanent decks or storage attachments. There are also duplex units, tree house units, townhouse units etc. I have no idea what the rental units looked like except it looked to me like they were built in the late 70’s early 80’s. We stayed in “premium” sites 60 and 61 with full hook ups for 1 week. They had us scheduled to take site 59 but when the young man showed us to our sites he said we could take 60 to be next to our traveling companions. Site 59 would never have accommodated our 28 ft TT with slide. Our slide would literally been up against the side of one of the duplex units. Our sites were fairly level with a great view of Lake Barkley and even better views of the barges going up and down the lake. That was so cool! My three star rating is for the following: the bathroom near our site was clean but not heated during our stay. Temps in the 30’s to 60’. Campground is in definite need of some maintenance and work. Roads, sites, etc. For campers next to the rental buildings it would get very congested and likely noisy. There were lots of things for children to do, giant bounce pen, playground, pool etc. Staff that we met were very nice, giving us a call to check our arrival time and letting me know what to do upon arrival. Our sites were just fine for the time of year we stayed but in a busy season I’d pick other sites. In my opinion cost was high for time of year and condition of the campground at $55 for mid week and $65 for weekends. We did use our KOA discount which brought the price down. On the plus side, there was flooding in previous weeks which washed up tons of dead trees. Firewood was endless so no need to buy expensive campground firewood and we had the best fires at night! Beautiful sunsets and even a full moon. The campground seems to be in the process of making improvements so time will tell. Having said that, There are so many other choices of campgrounds in the area I’d likely try another when coming back.

For KOA Kentucky Lakes Prizer Point: BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT STAY IN NEW SECTION IF DRIVING A BIG RIG!
We camped here in a 41' diesel pusher towing a car. Booked our site through KOA online 3 months ahead of stay. Beautiful area. Site booked was supposed to be paved with patio, cable tv and wifi. Received a call a month ahead of time that we were moved to the "new" section and that we'd be on gravel because they were behind on getting the concrete poured. Disappointing, but not a deal breaker with reduction in price. Received another call 2 days ahead with all of their rules for the eclipse weekend, and btw, there would be NO cable in new section and wifi was expected to go down because of heavy use. Arrived to find out there has NEVER been wifi or cable in this section and the roads, turns and sites ARE DEFINITELY NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY. BAIT AND SWITCH! Getting to our site was actually dangerous. Sites are very sloped and so narrow that we could barely squeeze by one side of the coach with slides IN. With slides out it is impossible to walk around the coach, must step into mud pit to hook up utilities. Neighbor's "patio" is right under our slide next to our sewer. Our "patio" (a slight widening of the gravel drive) is right next to neighbor's sewer. Terrible experience. There are a handful of nice sites by the lake and those are the web photos. If you book here, be very sure what site you are reserving or you will be robbed!
