For Canal Campground: 4/11/24. Canal Campground COE, Lake Barkley KY, 3 nights, total $39 w AM Ntl Park Senior pass, site 30 This is a beautiful campground with very nice sites, water and elect and some w sewer. Bathrooms clean but dated. We are on site 30, Fishermans Row loop. Very level, gravel pad. Nice grassy area in back down to the lake. So much to do in Land Between the Lakes.

For Canal Campground: Beautiful sites in the Beach and Hill loops with views of the lake. The Fisherman sites are open with canal views. Good if you want satellite tv. Several dump locations so no waiting. Close to Grand Rivers for shopping and restaurants. Jeanine was very helpful with staying an extra night. Overall outstanding.

For Canal Campground: We arrived to the campground about an hour early. We were checked in at the office and told to go down to the boat dock area to wait until the check in time. The gate person also advised us that the people that were in our site still were one of two sites that still needed to leave and that they had been trouble ever since they arrived, which had been a while ago. At the appointed time, we drove up to our site and the people were still in the site. We told the person at the front gate that they hadn’t left yet and he said that they had been told to leave several times. We asked if he had another site available for us, he didn’t have time to look. He went down and once again advised the people that they were supposed to leave. In the end, we were finally given another site but asked to pay the extra money for that site since it was more expensive than the site we had originally chosen. The new site was a pull through and the neighbors on both sides had encoached on this site. One had parked their car in the site and the other had blocked the exit for the pull through with their vehicle. With the staff at the front gate not calling the ranger or sherif, I am not sure I will ever step foot in this campground again.

For Canal Campground: Nice COE campground. We has a premium site on the with lake view and full hookups. $34 a night but with senior pass came to $17. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. Great place if you have a boat as it’s right on Lake Barkley and has a boat ramp. Also swimming beach. Yes there are plenty of golf carts running around but that didn’t affect our stay. Would stay here again.

For Canal Campground: Lots of golf carts but a beautiful and well kept campground. The walk in “flats” is just the old parking lot for the boat ramp that used to be there.

For Canal Campground: Campsites are good, as discussed some are difficult for larger rigs, mine is a 35 ft 5ver. It took a little finagling to get it level on site 54. More moderate to steep grade rather than slight as in the description. Facilities are clean and up to date. Staff is good. The golf carts are as described. Only other issue I have is we spent about 10 minutes picking up small bits of trash from the campsite. Mostly cigarette butts and bottle caps. My motto is to leave your campsite better than you found it.

For Canal Campground: We stayed 4 nites in 34' motor home and loved waterfront sites, esp 79, could only get two nights in each site but were happy to move. Statement about golf carts pretty correct, showers clean and completely private. Must have reservations if can get them on weekends, were here before Memorial Day so had to leave for weekend, lots of trees, no Sat TV on any except some non-reservable sites
