For Frog City RV Park: Frog City RV Park in Duson, Louisiana was a great stop halfway between Thousand Trails Colorado River in Columbus, TX and RPI Wilderness in Robertsdale, Alabama for us. We stayed for 3 nights. The roads are narrow inside the park, but manageable. It appears that all sites or almost all sites are pull-thrus. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They offer a breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We were busy and didn't get to go to that, but we'll try to do it next time. We were close to Lafayette and got to enjoy the Mardi Gras parades happening there. We stayed in site number 14. Everything worked - no issues with water, sewer, or electricity. It was raining when we set up, and cold much of our time there. Our site was level and there was enough room for our 42' fifth wheel and one ton dually. There's quite a bit of road noise, as you'd expect, since it's right off of I-10, and next door to a huge truck stop and hotel. The roads just outside of the RV park are not great. Getting in and out of the park is slow going to avoid potholes. Package pickup at the office is available, internet worked great, each space had a picnic table, but no fire ring, and the pool looked nice. There's space between campers, enough that you're not on top of each other. We would definitely stay here again. Our travel videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUOPQrjghNHZo9NDnH88xBw

For Frog City RV Park: A hidden gem. Great stopping point on I-10 W of Lafayette. We pulled in for a night and stayed two just for the hospitality (and to ride out a storm they warned us was coming). Couldn’t reach them via the phone number or website, but a look at the aerial view showed they had long pull-throughs, so we just showed up (“hopped right in”), checked in, and were guided to a spot that could easily hold a 45’ and toad (the spaces are 73’ - all pull-throughs). Crushed gravel and level. Full hoook-ups. Small park, but with more than adequate maneuvering room. Not fenced all around (you can walk to Motel 8 or the gas station), but safe and clean. There’s a good-sized fenced-in dog run which is clean with high-quality bags. Small heated pool (they didn’t have the heat on that day but turned it especially on for us) and they’re upgrading the pool area. Office has a better-than-most selection of books and movies to borrow or trade… very laid-back, southern hospitality…met all the staff and everyone was friendly and accomodating with that “please let us know what else we can do for you” attitude that is too uncommon these days. Other guests were friendly, too. Places to eat (and a small casino) across the freeway. Casino is pretty quiet, safe and has cheap drinks. Rascal’s and Cajun Claws are both good.

For Frog City RV Park: I love this place. This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. The staff is very nice and helpful. The sites are gravel and level. Lots of pull throughs. No trees to block the satellite. Right off of I10. There is a truck stop next door that creates some noise, unless you are a light sleeper it won’t matter.

For Frog City RV Park: Very clean comfortable park with very long pull throughs - the ladies at check-in were extremely friendly and the man led me to my site and was one of the nicest camp hosts we’ve ever met. As for highway noise we didn’t notice it at all you’re a little bit away from the highway (there’s a field and a gas station between the park in the highway ) so the noise isn’t really noticeable - everything about this place is outstanding - if you’re traveling through don’t waste your time at the others - come here - we’ve been traveling since Alaska and this is the nicest overnight park we have stayed in so far.

Virginia

For Frog City RV Park: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Large pull-through accommodated our RV, cargo trailer, and SUV. Nice pool. Great WiFi—so unusual for an RV park. Noise from freeway and train and lack of shade reduces review to four stars. We would stay here again but not in summer. Louisiana is hot. Shade is a must.
