For Baraga State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Baraga State Park. Getting to the campground was good. The roads in the campground are paved and gravel and in good condition. Trees are all trimmed. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. They have no camp store. There is no parking area, just stop at the entrance station and they come out. No escort to site, but they provide a map and road signage to our site was adequate. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. Our site was 17, a back in site with a gravel drive and gravel patio area, with a picnic table. There are no good views of anything, but the campground is pleasant and has nice grounds and forest. Our site was level. The site was dry. We did not notice any seasonal folks. We did not use the bathhouse, but they looked nice. There is no pool or hot tub. No rec room. No workout fitness room. No deli on site, but restaurants are just down the road. The grounds are nice and grass is very green. No cable tv. A few channels are found on over air antenna. Wifi was good and we could stream. OK Verizon cell service. Here is the bad. Nothing is bad with this campground other than not having certain amenities. I would come back. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well...

For Baraga State Park: Nice well maintained park. Lots of trees. Road noise. Hiway runs between Park and Lake. Mostly grassy sites. Washrooms and showers are spotless.

For Baraga State Park: I would give this campground a 2.5 star rating if I could. The nice parts of the campground were A) we had 50 amp service and B) the dump station was well laid out. C) In general, the campers were quiet and well behaved. The downside was that: A) the sites were cramped and B) they have a weird site layout. They do not have the normal layout where you have from the utility box behind you to the utility box in front of you. They have, instead, painted marker lines on the road. This meant that all the grass on the camp side of our rig was in the neighbor’s site and my grassy land to use was in the utility side of my rig. This resulted in our neighbor’s picnic table being closer to our fire pit than our table. C) Additionally many of the sites at this campground were under water when we arrived. D) Finally, all the sites are within 100 yards of US-41 and highway noise was ever-present. I was awakened by highway noise on a couple of nights.

For Baraga State Park: Nice, Clean, well kept State Park. Friendly Staff. Some road noise, but not bad. Pick a site towards the back of the park if available.

Adventurer

For Baraga State Park: Nice view, bathrooms are clean but toilets are tricky to flush(hold the handle till flushes). Showers are clean and had adjustable water pressure with hot water. There are several sites that are pull-thru and several that are full hookup. Most of the full hookup sites are smaller. Rangers don't care how you park your rig as long as you are on your site. Fire wood available for purchase, dump and water station are available free for campers 10.00 for non-campers. Fire rings and picnic tables provided. Activities offered at host site through out the week. About 15 minutes from canyon falls, a few minutes away from powerhouse falls. Great views of the lake

Ben

For Baraga State Park: The road around the park is super narrow and everyone parks along the road so there no room to back your trailer in. The bathrooms were disgusting full of flys and moths. Sites with 3 or 4 side by sides along with the toy hauler and tow vehicle. Will not come back here again.

Bedouin Beer Can

For Baraga State Park: Very nice, clean. As you would expect from a State Park. Highway along side a little noisy but, what do you expect, the Park is on the highway. Not much privacy between sites. All in all, a little bland; but a very nice spot for an overnight.
