For Wild River State Park: A true hidden gem within an hour of the Twin Cities. The park offers large secluded sites with two loops offering electric. They also built several more camper cabins within the last few years which offer rustic camping for those that prefer a roof over their heads. Hiking and bike riding are our favorite activities while visiting the park. Follow the hiking trails down to the St Croix River or to the interpretive center that offers the history of the park and some panoramic views of the river. In the summer the park also partners with a local canoe rental company that will shuttle you upriver for a leisurely float down the river. A perfect activity for a nice summer day.
