For KOA Hattiesburg Okatoma: I agree with some of the previous comments, like not arriving after dark. I would not do it as the road is very narrow and you could easily end up stuck in the ditch if you went off the road so plan on arriving in daylight…it is a lovely campground, well maintained and super quiet..no highway noise and away from city lights so the stars are amazing. It did rain while we were here but the roads are well maintained and it was not muddy. We are in a 36 foot motorhome with a toad and had no problems getting in or out

For KOA Hattiesburg Okatoma: This park has just become a KOA. Use Allstays to determine the location then link to Google maps for directions. FOLLOW those directions AND IGNORE SIGNAGE if your going south down Hwy 49. If your coming from the south, the correct turn has a sign PARALLEL to the hwy which you won't see in time to make the turn. Use Google maps like I said, otherwise, you'll hear Dueling Banjo's before you ever find the place. Then, trust me on this, don't even think of arriving after dark. Once off of Hwy 49, the roads are narrow, no shoulders, 90 degree turns with no fillets and it's darker than stink. Drop the rear axle into a ditch and no tow truck will be able to get past you to pull you out. I'm not kidding. Now the good points. if you manage to find the one way entrance road into the park, the road gets even narrower with steep dropoffs on either side. Did I mention it's darker than stink? The exit road out of the park, which is less than a quarter mile further down is not as bad and if it's dark, I'd advise using that going INTO the park. It's a matter of survival at that point. In the dark, you're going to be absolutely certain your lost anyway. Now, once you leaved the paved road at the park entrances, you're on a semi-gravel/dirt surface for the rest of your stay. That means dust if it's dry and mud if it's wet. Your vehicles are going to get nasty either way. This is Mississippi, so the the staff are friendly and helpful and I'll guarantee you one of them will have a cousin with a tow truck. Enjoy your stay.

For KOA Hattiesburg Okatoma: Third or fourth visit. Wonderful staff. Well maintained. Private lake, so no fishing license needed. They were installing new shore power boxes. 30/50, cable, sewer and water. Most sites are back-in.

For KOA Hattiesburg Okatoma: Nice park. Very quaint and quiet. Yes there are some workers and full timers but we did not experience noise. Mary Ellen and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Pond with ducks. Bathrooms are a little outdated but clean. We stored our 5er here for the holidays while we traveled back to WI. We stayed 1 week before Holidays and 2 days after. Passport America for 2 days at $17 and $140 for the week. Only $2 per day for storage. We would definitely stay here again!

For KOA Hattiesburg Okatoma: Beautiful park, BUT.... most people staying in this park are people working in the area or full-timers. Our site was a large grass site near the entrance. Several vehicles coming and going at all hours of the night. Several others have commented about the roads in and out. While they are narrow, they are passable as most people in the area are respectful of RV'ers and give plenty of room. However, the driveway in and out of the park are dirt and very, very narrow. We were thankful it wasn't raining. I'm a career firefighter, I can't help but notice the fire pits by the covered patios pose a huge fire hazard. Please be careful! Overall, this park is ok for overnight but we wouldn't stay for more than 1 night.
