For Town Creek: Pretty nice Corps campground. Several sites are on the water but most are about 8 feet above it. Lots of weeds and undergrowth hinder the views and give it a "snakey" feel. Sites are level with good sitting areas and hookups work fine. Just wish they'd clear out the undergrowth better.

For Town Creek: This park is advertised as "open" according to the Corps web site, but the gate was locked when we arrived in early December, 2013. The county access roads are in bad shape due to what appeared to be an open gravel pit operation nearby and heavy trucking on the roads. If the park ever does open up again, I'd suggest visiting in a small 4x4 before attempting to take a big rig there. Since we did not have the availability to enter the campground, I can't give it a fair evaluation, except others who have camped there have told us it is mosquito heaven in the warm months.
