For Norris - Yellowstone National Park: We were looking for a campground that was near the Loop Road and did not require reservations. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed a week in mid-July in a 25 foot MH.

This CG met all of our needs. A line forms in the morning and the CG hosts start assigning sites at 7:30am as departing campers leave. (As a result, choice of campsite is limited.) We arrived on a Tuesday and 26 (of 100) sites became available. The A Loop is mostly flat. Loops B and C are on a hill. Most of the sites are relatively large with a smaller parking pad near the road and larger area with picnic table, fire pit, bear box and tent platform some a distance away and/or not on the same level. Most sites are a mix of sun and shade and most need some leveling. Most are back ins, a few are pull overs. There is no wifi and no ATT or Verizon coverage.

The location of this CG is great for exploring Yellowstone. It's 1 mile from the Loop Road. There are several trailheads in the CG, including the hike to Norris Geyser Basin and museum. The NP Ranger museum is at the CG entrance. There is a Ranger presentation each evening. Cell coverage is noted at some of the villages, however, it is not reliable.

Enders

For Norris - Yellowstone National Park: Too many people, sites too close together, bathroom light shines all night.

Loved the ranger talk, but we're switching to national forests rather than national parks.
