For Poplar Point - Jordan Lake SRA: Nice are, good price ($30/night). No sewer hook up but there are dump stations near the start of each Loop. The bathroom buildings are closed on weekdays, apparently. Bathhouses are open 24/7, though. Bathrooms and bathhouses are not necessarily close to all camping spots. A lot of the spots seems not so great for parking, though. Ours was a single entrance for 2 RV spots, for example. Overall, definitely good value for the money but it has its quirks.

For Poplar Point - Jordan Lake SRA: Some spaces are very far apart but some are on double or even triple driveways so look at the map carefully. The waterfront sites are closer together than the sites off the waterfront toward the end of the loop. I usually stay at Parkers Creek because it has the reputation for having the best cell data signals. The Verizon signal here was okay during the week but could not handle the weekend traffic.

For Poplar Point - Jordan Lake SRA: Nice spaced wooded spots. Check in was a breeze. Everyone who worked there we encountered was nice. My husband said the bath house was clean. Our two issue was our spot, C2, leaned way back so our front was almost touching the ground. But we managed. We were here early April and the pollen was CRAZY thick! A layer on everything and you can see it in the air. So if you have allergies be aware.

Jeff

For Poplar Point - Jordan Lake SRA: We stayed here in early July. The woman at the front booth was not very welcoming. She did not communicate well and I could barely hear her. They do not accept checks which other state parks do, its $33 per night where others are $25. Nonetheless, we proceeded to find a spot and most are shaded with the lake quite accessible. We did swim in the lake and it was refreshing and busy with jet skis and tubers and boats. Kind of muddy with no real beach area. It was fun. We had a dog and they did not ask us about her. Also there is a general store just down the road that was very convenient for getting items. The main road was very busy for a state park and our lil boy could not rise his bike down it b/c of all the traffic. I probably would not stay here again

Heather

For Poplar Point - Jordan Lake SRA: Sites are great as far as being wide apart with plenty of space.

However: Gate locks at 9pm so have to make sure you get there before that. They do not give code to gate like SC parks do.
Showers are not ideal, no temp control or privacy so be prepared to use your own on RV.
Dump stations are far from sites and lots of spiders - most I've seen at an RV camp site so bring bug spray!

July 2016 Note: They no longer lock up at 9pm.
