For Julian Price Park Campground - Blue Ridge Parkway National Park: Another run down campground on the Parkway. Sites need to be re-levelled, roads have become so neglected that they now need to be re-done...potholes galore. The person at check-in probably shouldn't have a public-facing role. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to do...biking, hiking, fishing, paddling. Condition of the NP campgrounds is a disgrace.. We need to do better.

For Julian Price Park Campground - Blue Ridge Parkway National Park: We love staying at Julian Price. For several years we tent camped and generally found quality non reservable sites. We now travel in a camper van and love staying in the B Loop. So much to do around the campground. We hiked the five mile Boon Fork trail right from our site, literally, B-28. Also enjoyed the canoe rentals adjacent the campground. Bathrooms and showers on the D loop were clean. No showers on B Loop.

AndrewNC

For Julian Price Park Campground - Blue Ridge Parkway National Park: Stayed in loop F and had a very pleasant visit. The back-in sites are not very deep and it was challenging to fit our 21 foot trailer and pick-up truck into the space allotted. Space between the sites was great with lots of trees and privacy. Sites were asphault-paved but some had a slope and others were drooping on one side or the other. Our site was 5" side-to-side at best, 8" at worst. Front-to-back was within 2". Walking around the campsite was nice, and Price Lake across the parkway is beautiful. There are also several hiking trails from 2 to 6 miles in length. No hookups in the sites, but the dump station at the entrance was nice with a potable water outlet as well. Most of the pull-through sites along the side of the road are way too narrow, especially if you have slide-outs; there were a few pull-through sites in loop E with a grass median between the site and road, but the pull-through sites in loop F were pretty useless.

Merry Pensioner

For Julian Price Park Campground - Blue Ridge Parkway National Park: I gave this park 3 stars because of the beautiful location and friendly park staff. I stayed in loop c in my teardrop because the other sites were so small. The road through loop a was almost impassable. Too by that we allow our national Parks to fall into such a state of disrepair. I’d like to stay there again and do some hiking. The weather wasn’t cooperating. I was there when hurricane Michael hit. 10/10/18.

Wandering Buffalos

For Julian Price Park Campground - Blue Ridge Parkway National Park: We stayed at Julian Price Memorial Park in loop D site #3RV which barely fit our truck, 12x12 gazebo, and 19’ travel trailer in its paved site. Understandably, loop A, B, C and D are meant for tents and pop up trailers, but loop D has brand-spanking new 6-stall shower/toilet combo. All other sites in E & F are paved and flat enough for larger RVs and fifth wheels, but have only toilets. Although the park is planning to upgrade all other restrooms to combo shower/toilet in the future. For just $20/day with plenty of showers and plenty of things to see in the area, we though this was a great bargain. WiFi was none existence, weak LTE and bad roads make this great campground a bit throwback. OTA reception gets 16 digital TV channels or more to catch local weather. Beautiful Blowing Rock town is just few miles northeast of the park, kayaking was great on Julian Price Lake with boat launch next drive way over, very generous picnic area with creeks meandering in between, very scenic Blue Ridge Parkway takes us to the best Grandfather Mountain hikes. Water spigot is only available near bathroom. Would we stay again? Yep, we would do it again in a heartbeat!

DiCo

For Julian Price Park Campground - Blue Ridge Parkway National Park: This is a very run down national park campground. The bathrooms are outdated and dirty and the RV sites are very small. We have a 24 ft and had to search to find a site to accommodate us. We were told this is the largest and nicest campground on the Parkway so I can't imagine how small the others must have been.
