For Dickens RV Park: Bait and Switch! PA says $12.50/nite. Marty who took us to our site said PA was wrong. That it’s actually $25/nite meaning $50 normally. Spoke with others there, and they said it is normally $20/nite. Ugly place in an industrial setting. Sites wide but on this very large and miserable gravel. Absolute nothing to see, nowhere to go eat anywhere in the area. We were enticed by the low price, but ended up being ripped off in ugly nowhweresville with nothing to do. Absolutely would not stay again!

For Dickens RV Park: Purely utilitarian park for access to the Triangle area. Takes Passport America without any restrictions. Two large gravel lots with slots packed in and a large grassy area between the two lots. Some crisscross shared hookup boxes. Lots of people living there who leave for work in the morning and come back and go inside in the evening. Very quiet, very few people outside. Owners and workcampers were friendly and constantly around - I felt very secure and saw some people who lived there had left valuable belongings like tool sets out. I accidentally set off my car alarm and a workcamper came by immediately. I didn't use the bathhouse but walked in and saw nice looking newer washers and driers and a lounging area. Smattering of Confederate flags, but also African American families living there.

For Dickens RV Park: My husband and I came to this RV Park around mid month March 2016 we paid for a full month, by April 4 there was another bill for a full month of service on my rv door, not only was it not time for another bill but they had overcharged us for propane that we did not receive. I had the bill adjusted for the propane and paid it in may I paid again on time, we noticed that we were having problems with the sceptic tank backing up and complained but nothing was done about it. Also we noticed there was problem with little bugs trying to get in, the one thing they o not tell you on their site (drvp) is that their located next to a lumber mill who has the most god awful smell known to man. Every day I tell my husband we need to move, nor do they mention you are miles from the grocery store, restaurants or any other food delivery. But for us the manager Marty did not like my husband because he is Black did I mention we are the only Interracial couple or Black couple in the park. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY ELSWHERE!!

For Dickens RV Park: Had to file a complaint with animal control. A dog bit my dog and the owner of the RV park has been knowing there was a problem with this dog breaking it's leash and attacking other dogs but never has done anything about it.
We have been RV'n for 14 years and never had to face this problem.
The owner Kent is very nice but is to
Lay back and will not do what is in the best interest of the other guest.
This could be a very nice park but it does border on the line of slum. If it was not the only park close to Raleigh we would not stay here.
