Kanne

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Beautiful campground overall. Staff very nice and helpful. This was a beautiful park on the banks of the Swannona River. There is also a lake. We have a 45 toyhauler and stayed in one of the pull thru sites. The site was level. The only negatives were the sites are VERY close together. The grass was in need of cutting. If we stay here again we’d pay extra for the patio just to have space .

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Stayed here while visiting friends in Asheville. The site was nice enough and quiet because it was off season (December). The problem was that the dump station was closed which they had not mentioned. They offered to let us use an empty site to dump but said they charge $20. I have never been to a campground that charged to dump if you had paid to stay.

Hanson

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Stayed here so we could visit family nearby. Very convenient. Stayed in 40’ motorhome with tow car. Had a lovely site backing up to one of their two ponds/lakes. Staff very nice. Would stay again.

Jennifer

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Nice park on a lake and creek. Nice bathrooms. TIP: The family restroom (by K8) on the mens side has excellent water pressure while the womens side has crappy low pressure. The “dog park” is a tiny fenced property barely good for a small dog. We did hear some road noise - train and semi truck brakes going through the nearby mountains. Uber rides into Asheville were ~$25. Nice store with lots of camping needs, although we were not impressed with their firewood. Would stay again.

Mary

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: I stayed in a patio site, it was expensive but very nice. There is at site trash pick up and free internet. The Verizon signal was also good. Yes, the train is close. It’s a bit away from town but could still get food delivery from quite a few places. The weekend I was there was the first weekend of having a coffee shop trailer. They said they would be feeling out if there was enough demand to have the coffee shop open every morning of the week.

Chsrles

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: This is a well maintained campground nice staff in great location, great WiFi and cable. However site are close together, gravel, road noise, train comes by at night and blows horn, not big rig friendly.

Alison Reardon

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Facilities are clean and well attended. Nice creek find though the park. This is like camping in a parking lot. I am spoiled by state and national parks. Good location close to Ashville, but I won't stay here again. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
