RobAnne

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: Clean “waterfront” site. Great view of the lake but no shade. Water very low and far from site due to drought. Site was level.

Ron

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: Stayed one night too many. Good Sam promised cable, office claimed storm damage and will not invest to repair to damaged areas. Electric post hookup was so low to ground, could NOT use our surge protector, water spigot was within inches of electric power (not up to code where we live …). Ladies room sinks had standing brown water. Definitely not worth the fee….move on!

JP

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: The Village (with hook-ups) has some nice sites in a row facing the water and some a bit higher up. Some are rough, and there are many older park models. The restrooms/showers are a joke: very old, not a/c (in LAs Vegas area..can you imagine??). Nice people in the office.

Wandering Sandals

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: Were assigned site 1001 with full hookup for $34/day (3rd row from waterfront sites which cost about ~$60/day). This RV sites are inside Lake Mead National Recreation Area but run by a private outfit, thus our national park pass doesn’t offer any saving here. Shower/toilet were clean but window will be left wide open for venting. This provide direct view into shower stall area so beware. No trees or shade to speak off. Our trailer brand new 10K BTU AC worked overtime but doesn’t cool us down 5degF below ambient temperature of 95degF. The back-in parking for our trailer and tow vehicle is generous enough. Enter and exiting parking spot was no issue. For the price, we elected to stay the next day at Boulder Campground under ton of shade and not even needed to run our AC. Power pedestal (for 30amp) is temperamental, tripped 3 times even our trailer has surge suppressor build-in. Want to move to different spot, front office said no, unless you pay extra for better site. Expensive full hookup site and not flexible is invitation for us to stay elsewhere next time.

Beverly

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: Driving in was like driving into a paradise resort with palm trees, and many flowering trees and plants whose beauty was quite surpassed by the view of themselves the colorful mountains surrounding it. Prices were reasonable for the area . Laundry and showers were clean. Space was more than adequate.

MF

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: Non water front spots are tight side to side if you have slide outs, but super long. WiFi was slow but there. Laundry room was clean but a couple of the machines were down when we were there. Can't beat the water view and hiking and walking trails. This was one of our favorite stops

JohnnyCache

For Lake Mead RV Village - Lake Mead National Rec Area: Ride your bike three miles to see Hoover Dam! Great park with friendly staff. Useable wifi and good sites. Good value in the Vegas area too.
